Rahava ensemble formed in 2017, in Tehran, Iran to perform Persian Classical Music. This ensemble included a number of Persian musicians who were participating the performances based on the orchestration of the pieces. Since 2019, this ensemble started to collaborate with musicians of different parts of the world to promote the sense of cooperation among them and present obscure and lesser known music genres. Rahava aims to share the musical ideas and combine them together, introduce the audience different musical cultures and musical instruments, and bring the people together. Also, by holding musical workshops and performances we attempt to help preserving these cultural heritages and transmitting them to the future generation.
In this performance Farhad Ebnejalal(santour), Taees Gheyrati(Santour) Pourya Ghasemi (Tar, Vocal), Sina Ettehad(Kamancheh), Lyla Lee(Cello), and Sina Hosseini(Tonbak) will perform some Persian classical music on Februrary 20th at Roy Barnett Hall.
